Why I’m Starting a Web & Systems Consultancy

A personal blog about starting a web & systems consultancy focused on scalable platforms, SaaS systems, workflow architecture, modern websites, and e-commerce solutions while also building a SaaS product alongside the journey.

Why I’m Starting a Web & Systems Consultancy

Over the past few years, I realized I became more interested in systems than just websites alone.

Not just building pages, but thinking about:

  • workflows
  • scalability
  • architecture
  • operations
  • deployment
  • maintainability
  • how software actually supports a business long-term

The more projects I worked on, the more I noticed that many businesses don’t really struggle because they lack software.

Most of the time, they struggle because:

  • workflows are unclear
  • systems are too rigid
  • architecture decisions don’t scale
  • operations and software don’t connect properly
  • development focuses only on visuals without long-term structure

That perspective slowly changed how I approached development.

And it’s one of the reasons why, in the next few days, I’ll officially be starting a small web & systems consultancy based in the UAE, while still open to working with international clients.

Not Every Business Needs a Massive System

While I enjoy building SaaS platforms and scalable systems, I also understand that not every business needs a large custom platform immediately.

Sometimes businesses simply need:

  • a modern landing page
  • a clean company website
  • a strong UI/UX experience
  • a small e-commerce platform
  • a professional online presence

Those projects matter too.

A well-designed website can completely change how a business presents itself online.

For businesses trying to start selling online, especially smaller or growing businesses, even a lightweight e-commerce platform can create huge opportunities.

That’s why I want the consultancy to handle both:

  • simple but well-designed web experiences
  • and larger system-focused projects

The Kind of Work I Want to Build

The consultancy will mainly focus on:

  • web development
  • SaaS platforms
  • workflow architecture
  • scalable systems
  • admin panels
  • technical consultation
  • landing pages
  • UI/UX-focused websites
  • e-commerce platforms
  • infrastructure and deployment planning

What interests me most is building software that remains maintainable and adaptable as businesses grow.

Not every solution needs to be overly complex.

Sometimes the best systems are the ones that stay simple while still being flexible enough to evolve.

Experience Changed My Perspective

Working on ERP systems, SaaS platforms, admin systems, and internal business tools changed the way I think about software.

I started paying more attention to:

  • modularity
  • operational flow
  • permissions
  • deployment pipelines
  • long-term scalability
  • architecture decisions

A lot of the important work in software is invisible to users.

Things like:

  • system structure
  • maintainability
  • workflow flexibility
  • abstraction quality
  • scalability planning

Users may never directly notice those details, but they heavily affect how reliable and scalable a platform becomes over time.

Building Something of My Own Too

Alongside the consultancy, I’m also building a SaaS product as a side project.

Part of the reason I wanted to move in this direction is because I genuinely enjoy building systems, experimenting with ideas, and understanding how products evolve over time.

Building a SaaS pushes you differently.

You start thinking more deeply about:

  • product decisions
  • user behavior
  • scalability
  • operational structure
  • long-term maintainability
  • balancing simplicity with flexibility

I still don’t fully know where the product will go yet, but I think that uncertainty is part of what makes building exciting.

For now, it’s something I’ll continue developing alongside the consultancy, and definitely something people should look out for in the future.

UAE Roots, International Reach

The consultancy will be based in the UAE, but modern development makes global collaboration easier than ever.

A lot of the work I enjoy:

  • architecture planning
  • workflow design
  • SaaS discussions
  • technical strategy
  • scalable system development

can happen remotely while still delivering strong results.

I think that opens opportunities not only locally, but internationally as well.

This Is Also a Growth Step for Me

I still have a lot to learn.

And honestly, that’s part of why I want to do this.

I want to expose myself to:

  • different industries
  • new operational challenges
  • larger systems
  • different business models
  • better engineering practices

Some of the best growth happens when you start building beyond your comfort zone.

This feels like one of those moments.

Final Thought

I don’t fully know where this direction will lead yet.

But I know I genuinely enjoy building systems, designing workflows, and helping businesses create better digital experiences.

Whether it’s:

  • a SaaS platform
  • an internal business system
  • a modern company website
  • or a small e-commerce platform

the goal is still the same:

Build something clean, scalable, and thoughtfully designed.
