I'm Jose, a full-stack engineer who builds production software with Laravel and Next.js. I've spent the last few years shipping ERPs, SaaS platforms, and automation systems that people actually depend on day to day.
I care about the decisions behind the code: the tradeoffs, the constraints, the why. I don't just write features; I think about how the system holds together under real load with real users making unexpected choices.

Founded Arknex Technologies
NowLaunched my own freelance web and software consultancy based in the UAE. Arknex Technologies is the vehicle for everything outside my day job , custom websites, SaaS products, ERP systems, and honest tech consulting for businesses that deserve better technology.
Real Estate & ERP Systems
Moved into the real estate sector as a marketing web developer. Designed and built Finance & ERP Booking, an internal ERP for managing property units, buyer records, payment schedules, and handover workflows. From spreadsheets to a system that actually holds the business together.
Dubai & MixGlobal
Relocated from the Philippines to Dubai. The biggest personal and professional pivot I've made. Joined MixGlobal and became one of the lead engineers on GSMFeed, a global device pricing aggregation platform. New environment, new scale, same instinct to just build the thing properly.
Graduated & Went In-House
Finished my degree and got absorbed by one of my freelancing clients as their in-house IT and web developer. The jump from freelancer to full-time employee at the same company is a strange one. The work was familiar, but the responsibility wasn't.
Started Coding Seriously
Moved beyond tutorials and started taking on real freelance work: landing pages for small businesses, and early system tooling for clients who needed their operations to stop living in spreadsheets. First taste of shipping something someone else actually depended on.
IT Chose Me
I wanted to be an architect. The kind that designs buildings. Life had a different plan, and I ended up in an IT degree instead. Took a while to make peace with it. And then the first time something I built actually worked, I stopped fighting it entirely.

Strategy card games
Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic: The Gathering. The deck-building mindset and the mid-game pivots translate more than people expect.
PC building
I spec and build my own rigs. Knowing the hardware underneath makes everything else feel less abstract.
Competitive mindset
I like to compete, whether that's a ranked ladder or shipping a feature faster than scoped. Keeps the work honest.
Music while working
Almost always. Lo-fi for focused building, something heavier for debugging sessions.
Coffee, obviously
A cliché but a true one. The ritual matters as much as the caffeine.
Dry humour
Takes a bit to warm up to but it's always there. Usually shows up in commit messages.
